The Provincial Youth Union said it had launched preparations early and expanded the “Tiếp sức mùa thi” (Exam Support) campaign through digital platforms, including the Tuổi trẻ Gia Lai fanpage, the Exam Support Portal and an online chatbot system to provide candidates with timely information before and during the examination period.
Volunteer teams have also been connected through online coordination groups, allowing organizers to receive real-time updates from examination sites and respond quickly to emerging situations.
Speaking at the provincial launch ceremony for the campaign on June 10, Phạm Hồng Hiệp, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said the program not only assists students during the examination period but also provides an opportunity for young people to demonstrate volunteerism, community responsibility and civic engagement.
He called on volunteers to maintain discipline and professionalism while applying the skills gained through training to ensure that examination sites become places where candidates feel supported, encouraged and confident throughout the exam period.
This year, the Provincial Youth Union established seven provincial-level support teams at examination venues in Quy Nhơn, Quy Nhơn Nam and Quy Nhơn Bắc wards. The teams are stationed at Lê Quý Đôn High School for the Gifted, Quốc Học Quy Nhơn High School, Trưng Vương High School, Trần Cao Vân High School No. 1, Nguyễn Thái Học High School No. 1, Hùng Vương High School and Bùi Thị Xuân High School.
Their responsibilities include guiding candidates, distributing drinking water, assisting with traffic management, helping maintain public order and providing essential supplies such as pens, rulers and erasers for students who may need them before entering examination rooms.
To support these activities, the Provincial Youth Union distributed 2,318 bottles of drinking water donated by the Hanoi Volunteer Club and 234 boxes of sausages sponsored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.
For many participants, the annual campaign serves as an opportunity to contribute to the community and support younger students during a significant milestone in their education.
Nguyễn Gia Ân, a volunteer from Quy Nhơn University, said personal experience as a former exam candidate motivated participation in the program.
“Sometimes, just a few words of encouragement, a bottle of water or a pen provided at the right moment can help candidates feel more at ease,” Ân said.
At the local level, Youth Union branches have implemented support activities tailored to local needs.
In Quy Nhơn ward, the local Youth Union partnered with student organizations from Quy Nhơn University and Gia Lai Medical College to deploy volunteers at four examination sites: Lê Quý Đôn High School for the Gifted, Quốc Học Quy Nhơn High School, Trưng Vương High School and Trần Cao Vân High School No. 1.
Each site has been supplied with 10 boxes of drinking water and 250 handheld fans for candidates and parents. Volunteers have also organized environmental clean-up activities and beautification efforts around examination venues.
Nguyễn Thị Vi Vi, Secretary of the Quy Nhơn Ward Youth Union, said comprehensive preparation was expected to help support activities run smoothly and create a comfortable environment for students.
Not only providing support before and during the exam period, the “Tiếp sức mùa thi” program in 2026 will continue to accompany students after the results are announced.
Accordingly, Youth Union and Student Association branches at all levels will assist new students in learning about enrollment procedures, introduce safe accommodation, connect them with scholarship opportunities, and mobilize resources to help disadvantaged students feel secure in pursuing their studies.
