The delegation included ambassadors to Vietnam from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Pakistan and Cambodia, along with the Deputy Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang, and the President of the National Startup Association.
At a courtesy meeting held at the provincial People’s Committee headquarters, Gia Lai officials highlighted the province’s strategic development priorities and called for stronger international cooperation across key sectors.
Provincial Party Secretary Thái Đại Ngọc said the recent administrative merger of Bình Định and Gia Lai provinces had created new opportunities to connect the Central Highlands with coastal regions, positioning Gia Lai as a potential hub for trade, logistics and tourism.
He emphasized the province’s geographic advantages, including its proximity to Cambodia and access to the East Sea, as well as its natural resources and agricultural capacity, which support the development of high-tech farming, renewable energy and the marine economy.
Gia Lai is also seeking partnerships in infrastructure, logistics, tourism, cultural development, science and technology, digital transformation, environmental protection, healthcare and social welfare, Ngọc said.
Provincial leaders reiterated their commitment to improving the investment climate and pledged continued support for businesses. They expressed hope that foreign diplomats would act as connectors to foster practical and sustainable partnerships between Gia Lai and international investors.
Representatives of diplomatic missions welcomed the province’s initiative and praised the hospitality extended during the program. They noted that Gia Lai’s priority sectors align closely with the development strategies of many countries and described the province as an attractive destination for future investment.
The diplomats also committed to promoting Gia Lai among businesses in their respective countries and encouraging exploration of cooperation opportunities.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phạm Anh Tuấn said the visit coincides with a series of major events for the National Tourism Year 2026, including an investment promotion conference scheduled for March 28 and the official opening ceremony later that day.
He expressed confidence that the “Spring friendship tour” would help raise Gia Lai’s international profile, showcasing the province as a dynamic and culturally rich destination open to long-term partnerships.
Gia Lai authorities affirmed their readiness to provide favorable conditions and comprehensive infrastructure to support foreign investors seeking sustainable cooperation in the province.
