Delegation from Sekong province visits Gia Lai, extends Lunar New Year greetings

A delegation from Laos’ Sekong Province, led by Comrade Sisouphan Mahavong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid a Lunar New Year visit to Gia Lai Province on February 5, reaffirming cooperation and solidarity between the two localities.

Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Thai Dai Ngoc welcomed the delegation together with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc expressed appreciation for the New Year greetings and congratulated the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Sekong Province on recent achievements.

He acknowledged the socio-economic challenges Sekong has faced and emphasized the need to deepen cooperation in development, national defense, and security. He also welcomed the invitation to visit Sekong and instructed Gia Lai departments to prepare plans to further strengthen bilateral ties.

Deputy Secretary Sisouphan Mahavong conveyed New Year greetings to the Party Committee, authorities and people of Gia Lai, highlighting Sekong’s socio-economic progress and expressing confidence that bilateral relations would continue to grow stronger.

On the occasion, leaders of the two provinces exchanged symbolic gifts to celebrate the special friendship and solidarity between the neighboring localities.
