Nearly 1,000 children and parents joined the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival celebration on October 5 at the TOCEPO Quy Nhon wharf, where environmental awareness took center stage.

The event, co-organized by the 5Rs Superman Quy Nhon group, Quy Nhon Patin Club, and TOCEPO Trade and Service Center, blended festive joy with sustainability education.

Participants set up a “mini marketplace,” transforming recycled and pre-loved items into new treasures.

Children and parents displayed and sold books, comics, handmade goods, used toys, eco-friendly snacks, and drinks under the theme “One person’s old, another’s new.”

The initiative encouraged sharing, creativity, and the importance of waste reduction.

A free reading corner drew young readers to explore a wide range of children’s books, while a book donation campaign supported the Canh Tiến village library in Canh Vinh Commune, Gia Lai Province.

Children also learned origami, Japan’s traditional paper-folding art, and took part in interactive workshops promoting environmental protection.

The highlight of the day was the “green recycled lantern” contest, where participants designed and crafted Mid-Autumn lanterns from recycled materials. Winners received attractive prizes valued up to VND 500,000 (about USD 20) from the organizers.
