First expanded ornamental creatures festival and exhibition 2025 hosted in Gia Lai

(GLO) – The first expanded ornamental creatures exhibition and festival 2025 opened on Sunday at the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Center, showcasing more than 2,000 ornamental works and nearly 30,000 products from across Vietnam.

The event, organized by the provincial ornamental creatures association, gathered 187 artisans and gardeners from Gia Lai and other provinces including Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City.

Exhibits feature bonsai, ornamental flowers, decorative stones, driftwood, and other works.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyễn Tuấn Thanh, permanent Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee, said the festival offers opportunities for exchange of expertise, artistic development, and promotion of the ornamental creatures economy, while boosting local tourism.

The exhibition also serves as a cultural highlight for residents and visitors, enriching community life and strengthening the ornamental creatures movement nationwide.

Nguyễn Tuấn Thanh commended the Provincial ornamental creatures association, businesses, artisans, and enthusiasts for their contributions, emphasizing that the sector not only enhances cultural values but also creates stable jobs and income.

The festival runs from September 14 to 21, aligning with celebrations of Party Congresses at all levels, ahead of the first Gia Lai provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress.

In addition to the exhibition, the event features a red-whiskered bulbul singing contest with around 60 birds from artisans within and beyond Gia Lai.
