In the opening semifinal, U14 Hanoi defeated U14 Malaysia 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time in what was widely seen as an early final of the tournament.
Both teams displayed an aggressive, modern style of football and featured several standout young talents. Hanoi controlled possession for much of the match and created a number of attacking opportunities but struggled to convert in the first half.
The breakthrough came in the 51st minute when Tấn Hoàng was brought down inside the penalty area. Center-back Nhật Minh converted the resulting penalty to give the Vietnamese side a 1-0 lead.
Trailing late in the match, U14 Malaysia pushed forward aggressively in search of an equaliser. Their persistence paid off deep into stoppage time when Zahrin scored to level the match at 1-1.
The game was then decided by penalties, with Hanoi goalkeeper Thành Đạt saving two spot kicks to help his side clinch a dramatic victory.
In the second semifinal, U14 SLNA edged past U14 PVF 7-6 on penalties after a goalless draw.
SLNA entered the match as favourites and controlled much of the play, while PVF relied on a disciplined defensive approach similar to the one they used in their quarterfinal victory over U14 LPBank Hoàng Anh Gia Lai.
Despite sustained pressure, SLNA found it difficult to break through PVF’s defence and created few clear chances against goalkeeper Thái Bình. Near the end of the first half, SLNA came closest to scoring when their attackers beat the goalkeeper but struck the post.
The second half remained cautious and tightly contested, with neither side willing to take significant risks during the 30-minute halves.
After the match ended 0-0, the semifinal was settled in a tense penalty shootout, where SLNA held their nerve to advance to the final.
