His second solo exhibition, “Forest and Sea as One Home”, runs until November 8 at the Plây Cồng Chiêng homestay, 11A Bùi Dự Extension, Pleiku Ward.
The works span oil painting, acrylic, mixed media, lacquer and pyrography. They portray expansive highland landscapes and blue seas, expressing the artist’s hopes for closer geographical and cultural ties across the province.
Hùng Hoa Lư, whose real name is Trần Văn Hùng, began developing the exhibition’s theme following the merger that established the new Gia Lai province.
The exhibition forms part of activities marking Gia Lai’s Gong Festival – Wild Sunflower Week – Chư Đăng Ya Volcano 2026.
Those attending the opening included Meritorious Artist Đặng Công Hưng, chairman of the provincial Literature and Arts Association, and painter Trần Tuấn, head of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association’s Gia Lai provincial branch. Local ward leaders, artists, photographers and friends also attended.
