The opening art programme is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Quy Nhon Ward. Designed as a live performance, the show is structured into four interconnected chapters - Origin, Spirit of the Great Highlands, Tây Sơn Valor, and Moutains embrace the blue Sea, reflecting the region’s cultural identity and development aspirations.

The production integrates theatre, music, dance and visual effects into a continuous moving tableau. It recreates a symbolic journey from the Central Highlands to the coastal region, where the sound of traditional gongs blends with historical narratives and contemporary rhythms.

Following the artistic showcase, the event will transition into a Mega Concert featuring leading young Vietnamese artists including Isaac, HIEUTHUHAI, HURRYKNG, Anh Tú, Phạm Anh Duy, Tez, Mason Nguyễn, Sơn.K, Lamoon, Bùi Trường Linh, CONGB and Juky San.

The setlist, gradually being revealed, includes popular songs such as Walk, Bắc thang lên hỏi ông trời, No Alcohol and Hermosa. These performances are expected to be reimagined with enhanced stage design, lighting systems and large-scale choreography to deliver a high-impact audiovisual experience.

Organisers said the concert will mark a rare occasion where performers from both seasons of the “Vũ trụ Say Hi” series share the stage at a national-level event, creating anticipated collaborative performances and a key highlight of the evening.

The programme will involve approximately 2,200 personnel, including 500 production and communications staff, 400 extras, 300 dancers and circus performers, 500 security personnel and 500 logistics staff responsible for reception, sanitation and medical services.

The stage infrastructure underscores the scale of the event, with a platform measuring 116 metres wide and 40 metres deep, supported by a 108-metre-long, 13-metre-high LED screen. A grandstand spanning 93 metres in length and 23 metres in depth has been constructed to accommodate large audiences with optimal viewing angles.

Media coverage will be supported by 50 cameras and recording devices, including drones and flycams, enabling multi-angle broadcasting of the event.

With its extensive production scale and integration of traditional and modern elements, the Mega Concert is expected to deliver a high-profile opening for National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026, setting the tone for a year of tourism promotion and cultural celebration.
