A three-day vegan food festival will open in Pleiku on April 24, bringing together local businesses, culinary groups and charity organisations to promote sustainable living and community support.

The Central Vietnam Vegan Food Festival “Hương sắc Gia Lai” 2026, co-organised by Ánh Quang Vegetarian Restaurant, the Vegan Group Charity Club and regional culinary units, will take place at the Pleiku Children’s House. The event will feature 27 booths showcasing vegetarian cuisine from the Central and Central Highlands regions.

Running from April 24 to 26, the festival will offer visitors a diverse range of plant-based dishes, with a highlight on the final day, a buffet featuring 40 dishes prepared from locally sourced, organic ingredients.

Organisers said proceeds from the event will fund 2,000 free meals for disadvantaged people on April 24 and 25. Remaining profits, after expenses, will be directed to other charitable initiatives in the local community.

The festival is held to mark the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and in response to the National Tourism Year-Gia Lai 2026, while encouraging environmentally friendly lifestyles and promoting values of sharing and compassion.
