Quy Nhon University, Japanese Consulate in Da Nang strengthen educational ties

Quy Nhon University held a working session on Monday with Mr. Terado Hirotsugu, Consul in charge of economic and cultural affairs at the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in education, research, and cultural exchange.

Associate Professor Dr. Đoàn Đức Tùng, Rector of Quy Nhon University, presented the university’s international development strategy and highlighted achievements in collaboration with Japanese partners in recent years.

He emphasized that Japan remains a key strategic partner in the university’s training, research, and cultural programs.

The university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ashikaga University, facilitating faculty and student exchanges and joint scientific research.

It has also partnered with Nippon Sport Science University to develop sports and martial arts programs reflecting Japanese cultural heritage.

In addition, several Japanese enterprises have collaborated with Quy Nhon University to provide internships and employment opportunities for students majoring in Automotive Engineering and Tourism and Travel Service Management, supporting the development of internationally qualified human resources.

Mr. Terado Hirotsugu commended the university’s achievements in educational cooperation, especially in Japanese language training and cultural exchange.

He reaffirmed the Consulate General’s commitment to serving as a bridge to help expand partnerships with Japanese universities, organizations, and businesses.

Both sides agreed to implement new programs, including cultural exchanges, scholarships, internships, and joint research projects, aiming to elevate Vietnam -Japan educational cooperation.

The session marked a key step toward strengthening relations between Quy Nhon University and Japanese partners and advancing the university’s goal of becoming a “multi-disciplinary applied university meeting international standards.”
