Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch praised their contribution to building the province’s science tourism image and urged relevant agencies to provide full support to attract more visitors and international scientists.
She emphasized the importance of linking tourism routes with educational and scientific experiences to enhance visitor engagement and promote the province’s unique tourism model.
The delegation also inspected Quy Hòa Leprosy Village and Ghềnh Ráng Tourist Site, both known for their cultural, historical, spiritual, and natural significance.
After reviewing conservation and service operations, the Vice Chairwoman directed local authorities to prioritize environmental protection and maintain a clean, green landscape.
At Quy Hòa Leprosy Village, Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch highlighted the need to preserve its humanitarian and historical values tied to poet Hàn Mặc Tử, local architecture, and the lives of residents.
She proposed plans to develop a Center for Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and Central Region Wellness, estimated to cost around VND 24 billion (USD 940,000).
At Ghềnh Ráng Tourist Site, she called for a review of service management and improvements in visitor experience, alongside protection of the Ghềnh Ráng national scenic site.
Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch underscored the strategic importance of the Southern Quy Nhon Ward tourism cluster, which integrates science, cultural-historical, and landscape tourism, and urged relevant departments to collaborate in developing professional linkages and distinctive tourism products.
She stressed the need to preserve local cultural identity while fostering creativity to enhance Gia Lai’s position as a leading science and cultural tourism destination in Vietnam.
