Rising nearly 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level, Chư Đang Ya offers a relatively short yet unforgettable trek, just over 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles), that reveals panoramic views of its vast crater and fertile slopes.
Once active millions of years ago, the volcano now nurtures rows of sweet potatoes and canna plants, whose seasonal hues blend harmoniously with the region’s lush greenery.

Each November, the mountain bursts into a sea of gold as wild sunflowers bloom across the slopes, coinciding with the Chư Đang Ya wild sunflower and volcano festival, a vibrant annual event celebrating the area’s natural and cultural heritage.

Located about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) northeast of Pleiku city, Chư Đang Ya invites travelers to pair their volcanic exploration with a short trip, just 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) away, to the ancient H’Bâu church ruins, a site steeped in local history.
For many visitors, a journey to Chư Đang Ya offers more than picturesque photography opportunities; it provides a serene escape into nature, leaving them with a sense of calm and gratitude as they descend from the mountain’s heights.
