The People’s Committee of Quy Nhon Ward inaugurated the Year of the Horse 2026 mascot cluster at Victory Square on February 6, marking the launch of cultural activities celebrating the Party and Lunar New Year.

Senior provincial officials, former leaders, representatives from neighboring wards, residents, and visitors attended the ceremony in Gia Lai Province.

Positioned within the symmetrical layout of Victory Square facing the sea, the installation integrates historical motifs, urban landscape features, and local maritime identity. The Victory Monument serves as the central axis, creating a “memory axis” that anchors the visual composition.

Surrounding groups include stylized horses combined with Tet symbols such as bánh chưng trays, calligraphy masters, and the God of Wealth, promoting themes of prosperity, learning, and abundance. Another section features the illuminated “Quy Nhơn - Paradise of the Sea” sign alongside unicorns, lions, dragons, and playful child imagery.

The vibrant colors and dynamic layouts evoke festive traditions, strengthen community bonds, and highlight the city’s coastal identity. Integrated motifs referencing sea life, cuisine, and entertainment aim to showcase Quy Nhon as a dynamic and welcoming destination.

Nguyễn Đức Toàn, Chairman of the Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee, said the installation serves not only as Tet decoration but also as a public cultural space and a photo spot for residents and tourists, promoting Quy Nhon as a distinctive and globally integrated city and supporting tourism development.
