Gia Lai approves low-altitude fireworks displays for 2026 Lunar New Year

Gia Lai Province will stage low-altitude fireworks displays at two central squares during the 2026 Lunar New Year (The Year of Horse), following approval by provincial authorities, according to an official document.

The People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province has issued approved a plan to organize the displays as part of the holiday celebrations.

Under the decision, low-altitude fireworks will be held at Nguyễn Tất Thành Square and Đại Đoàn Kết Square, based on a proposal from the provincial military authorities.

The provincial administration assigned the Provincial Military Command to take the lead in implementing the plan. The command will coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Finance, local ward-level people’s committees, 21 Chemical One Member Limited Liability Company and other relevant units.

Authorities said the coordination will cover the registration and procurement of fireworks and the organization of the displays in accordance with regulations, with safety to be ensured throughout the process.
