Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Medical Hospital broke ground on the second phase of its high-tech facility project on February 10 in Hoi Phu Ward, marking a major expansion aimed at strengthening healthcare capacity in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

Provincial leaders, including Nguyen Huu Que, representatives from the Department of Health, local agencies, medical units, and partner organizations attended the ceremony.

Phase 2 will add a nine-story technical building on the hospital’s existing campus, expanding usable space by more than 20,000 square meters and increasing total capacity to 519 beds. The project, with an investment of VND 300 billion (approx. USD 12.2 million), is scheduled for construction between February 2026 and October 2027.

Once completed, the facility will house specialized technical zones, intensive care units, intervention areas, and synchronized auxiliary spaces designed to support advanced medical equipment and specialized procedures.
