The People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province has just issued a plan to organize a series of activities to welcome the New Year 2026, in conjunction with the Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week and the 2026 Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week and Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 will take place from January 1 to 4, 2026, in Mang Den Commune, featuring a vibrant array of cultural, tourism, and sports activities.

Highlights include an opening ceremony with a comprehensive art program, gong performances, and a New Year’s Eve fireworks display. The “Flying Over Cherry Blossoms” hot air balloon festival will offer visitors a unique experience of viewing the blossoms from above.

The province will also host sports and tourism activities such as the 2026 Open Pickleball Tournament, the “Run in the Clouds – Mang Den Trail” race, and a food fair with around 80 OCOP booths. There will be demonstrations of roasting and brewing Mang Den Arabica coffee, the “Highland Barista” competition, and showcases of local specialty dishes.

Ecotourism tours and light trekking excursions to destinations such as Dak Ke Lake, the 60-year-old pine forest, and Khanh Lam Pagoda will diversify the experiences available to visitors.

The comprehensive organization of cultural, sports, culinary, and ecotourism activities during Culture Week aims to create a harmonious connection between nature, culture, and the people of Quang Ngai.

These activities help foster local pride, enrich the spiritual life of residents, and lay the foundation and momentum for Quang Ngai’s tourism sector to develop in a sustainable and professional direction in the new era.

According to Ms. Bach Thi Man, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai Province, the Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week and Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 is a highlight in the province’s new promotional strategy.

Mang Den’s cherry blossoms have become a distinctive symbol of the highland region, closely linked to its unique climate, natural landscape, and the cultural life of local residents.

The cherry blossom season creates an attractive experiential space, helping to draw tourists, enhance the destination’s image, and gradually establish a signature tourism product for the province.

The 2026 New Year’s art program will be held in Cam Thanh Ward and Kon Tum Ward, featuring two main themes that vividly portray the province’s identity in a new development context.

The program in Cam Thanh Ward, themed “Aspiration for the Vast Sea,” will honor the province’s maritime potential and its spirit of reaching out to the sea. Meanwhile, the program in Kon Tum Ward, themed “Breath of the Highlands,” will recreate the beauty of the mountains and forests, the culture of ethnic groups, and the vitality of the highland region.

Through a variety of artistic performances, the program will celebrate the province’s natural beauty and development achievements, express love for the homeland and country, and reflect the people’s trust in the Party and State’s policies. Following recent administrative adjustments, Quang Ngai Province now has expanded development space with new potential, with tourism identified as a key sector to effectively leverage the locality’s natural, cultural, and human values.

The organization of cultural and artistic activities to welcome the New Year aims to provide residents and visitors with the opportunity to fully enjoy the province’s natural beauty, cultural identity, and development achievements.
