Gia Lai's 2026 tourism launch and mega concert rank among week’s top media events

The opening ceremony of National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 and a large-scale accompanying concert have ranked among the most prominent media campaigns in Vietnam over the past week, reflecting strong public and online engagement.

Held at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Quy Nhon Ward, the launch event and the Mega Concert “Gia Lai - Mountains embraces the blue sea” stood out for their scale and artistic production, while also generating significant traction across media platforms.

According to Kompa, a provider of media consulting solutions based on Big Data, the concert ranked fourth among the top 10 most prominent brand events from March 23 to 29.

The top three positions were taken by Tokyo Girls Collection Vietnam 2026, LSOUL at Shanghai Fashion Week 2026, and Jollibee’s The Jolly School-Yah! Season 7 campaign.

Separately, Socialite, a Vietnamese firm specialising in social listening and analytics, placed the concert third among the five most discussed events of the week, recording 39,412 online discussions.

Preliminary data from the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism showed extensive media coverage of the tourism year and related activities. In the first quarter of 2026, nearly 3,000 news reports and articles were published on tourism, culture and sports events linked to Gia Lai.

Of these, 1,262 reports focused specifically on the series of events marking the opening of National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 between March 23 and 30.

From January 1 to March 31, a total of 38,423 pieces of content related to Gia Lai province were recorded across press outlets and social media platforms, based on integrated monitoring systems.

On social media, hashtags associated with the campaign, including #NamDuLichQuocGia2026, #GiaLai and #DaiNganChamBienXanh, appeared in 2,086 posts and shares.

The opening ceremony and concert combined live performance art, modern stage technology and elements inspired by the “Universe Says Hi” music festival, creating a multi-sensory experience for audiences.

The event marked the official launch of National Tourism Year 2026, positioning Gia Lai as a destination to be experienced through music, art and immersive cultural activities.
