Le Quy Don High School advances to finals of national debate contest

(GLO) – Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai) has secured a place in the finals of the "Truong Teen 2025" competition after defeating Vinschool inter-level school (Hanoi) in the semifinals, broadcast on VTV7. The final round is scheduled for October 12.

The Gia Lai team, comprising 12th-grade students Su Huy Long (Informatics), Tran Giap Phuong Linh (English) and Truong Le Gia Bao (Informatics), impressed judges with composure, strong arguments, and seamless teamwork throughout the debate.

In the semifinal held on September 28, the teams debated the motion: "Students under 15 should not use ChatGPT." Le Quy Don’s representatives prevailed with their sharp reasoning and effective presentation, earning high praise from the panel.

"Truong Teen" is a national high school debate competition co-produced by VTV7 and the British University Vietnam (BUV). Contestants are assigned debate sides at random, with arguments aimed at demonstrating skill rather than personal opinion.
