Trần Thị Kim Sáng of class 9A2 at Mỹ Thắng Secondary School in Phù Mỹ Đông Commune and Nguyễn Thị Minh Hằng of class 9A3 at Bình Định Secondary School in Bình Định Ward shared the top position in the non-specialized high school track, each earning a total score of 27.75. Tạ Quốc Kiệt of class 9A1 at Hoài Thanh Tây Secondary School in Hoài Nhơn Ward secured first place in the specialized high school track with 46.8 points.
Kim Sáng achieved a perfect score of 10 in mathematics, alongside 8 in literature and 9.75 in English. A long-serving class president, she is known for her calm leadership and strong sense of responsibility. Her greatest strength, however, lies in mathematics, where she has developed a habit of exploring multiple approaches to solving each problem rather than focusing solely on the correct answer.
She said she continues working independently until she fully understands a problem, turning to teachers only after exhausting her own attempts. The approach helped her earn a consolation prize in the provincial mathematics competition for ninth-grade students during the 2025–2026 academic year.
Beyond mathematics, Sáng also excelled in English, crediting her older sister for encouraging her to communicate confidently and read English-language materials regularly, making language learning both easier and more enjoyable.
Đặng Minh Quân, a mathematics teacher at Mỹ Thắng Secondary School, described Sáng as an exceptional self-learner who consistently seeks to understand mathematical concepts instead of memorizing formulas. He also praised her willingness to support classmates in improving their academic performance.
Sharing the top overall score in the non-specialized track, Minh Hằng demonstrated balanced excellence by scoring 9 in mathematics, 9 in literature and 9.75 in English. Her consistently high marks across all three subjects highlighted her broad academic foundation in a highly competitive examination.
Hằng attributed her success to careful planning rather than any special study method. From the beginning of the school year, she established a structured daily schedule, distributed study time evenly among subjects and devoted additional attention to areas where she needed improvement.
Her interest in English has been strengthened through participation in competitions for gifted students, while her literature studies are supported by a habit of following current affairs and reading books and newspapers to enrich the examples and ideas used in her writing.
Đoàn Cát Nhơn, homeroom teacher of class 9A3 at Bình Định Secondary School, said Hằng's strongest qualities are her self-discipline and responsibility. As class president, she consistently leads by example, participates actively in school activities and regularly helps classmates with their studies.
Looking ahead to high school, Hằng said she intends to maintain her disciplined study habits while taking part in more extracurricular activities to broaden her experience.
In the specialized high school track, Quốc Kiệt achieved the highest overall score with 46.8 points, including 9.25 in mathematics, 8 in literature, 9.75 in English and 9.9 in specialized informatics, which was weighted double.
Before the entrance examination, Kiệt had already earned third prize in the provincial informatics competition for gifted students and a consolation prize in the provincial Young Informatics Contest during the 2025–2026 academic year.
His interest in informatics began in primary school through computer-based mathematics problems. As his curiosity grew, he became increasingly drawn to logical reasoning and algorithmic problem-solving. Outside the classroom, he regularly studies independently, practices programming and consults teachers only after working through challenges on his own.
Kiệt said he enjoys discovering multiple solutions to the same problem and finds particular satisfaction in identifying shorter and more efficient approaches.
Alongside his studies, he plays badminton to maintain his health, reduce stress and balance academic demands. In school, he serves as both group leader and informatics monitor, assisting classmates during practical lessons.
Nguyễn Nhất Thông, coach of the informatics team at Hoài Thanh Tây Secondary School, said Kiệt combines a strong passion for informatics with humility, perseverance and an outstanding commitment to self-directed learning. According to Thông, Kiệt consistently seeks not only correct answers but also the most effective and concise solutions.
After earning admission to Chu Văn An Specialized High School in Bồng Sơn Ward, Kiệt said he hopes to continue pursuing informatics, join the school's competition team and challenge himself in higher-level competitions in the years ahead.
