(GLO) – The An Khê Ward Youth Union in Gia Lai Province, in partnership with the local Center for Culture and Sports, launched a project on October 3 to digitize the Ngô Mây heroic martyrs memorial stele, a key historical and spiritual site in the region.

Located on Yă Đố Street, An Khê Ward, the memorial stele honors Ngô Mây, a national hero of Vietnam’s resistance against French colonialism. The site stands as both a tribute to revolutionary heroism and a symbol of the Vietnamese people’s enduring spirit of struggle.

The digitization project was implemented in several stages. The Ward Center for Culture and Sports provided materials and information for the Youth Union to design layouts, content, and visual illustrations. A QR code was then created and submitted to the Department of Culture and Society for approval before being installed at the site.

Through the QR code system, visitors can use smartphones to access detailed information, images, and documents related to the Ngô Mây Heroic Martyrs Memorial Stele via an online platform.

The initiative reflects the creativity of Gia Lai’s youth in promoting digital transformation. It also aims to preserve and spread knowledge about Vietnam’s revolutionary traditions, strengthen patriotism, and raise public awareness of cultural heritage conservation.
