Vietnam’s Phu Tai Joint Stock Company plans to invest $950,000 to establish a subsidiary in Texas, United States, to expand its trading and distribution of stone and wooden furniture products.

Phu Tai, listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange under the code PTB, said its Board of Directors approved the overseas investment plan under Decision No. 175/QĐ-HĐQT dated Aug. 26, 2026.

The planned U.S. subsidiary, tentatively named PHU TAI HOME USA, INC., will be established as a C-Corporation and headquartered in Houston, Texas.

The new company is expected to have total investment capital of approximately $1 million, with Phu Tai contributing $950,000, giving it an estimated 95% ownership stake. Another investor is expected to contribute the remaining $50,000, representing a 5% stake.

PHU TAI HOME USA is expected to conduct commercial activities including the trading, distribution, import and export of quartz stone, granite, indoor and outdoor wooden furniture, and other products aligned with Phu Tai’s business operations.

Under the board’s decision, Phu Tai’s General Director has been authorized to undertake all tasks related to the investment project, including negotiating and signing investment cooperation agreements with co-founding investors or shareholders in the United States, if any.

The General Director will also be responsible for signing documents required for overseas investment registration under Vietnamese law, while the company completes legal procedures and registers the new business entity in accordance with regulations in the relevant U.S. state.

The planned establishment of the U.S. entity marks a new step in Phu Tai’s efforts to create additional channels for operating in and distributing its products in the U.S. market.

Phu Tai Corporation is headquartered on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street (Quy Nhon Nam Ward, Gia Lai Province) with a charter capital of over VND 1,004 billion.

The company currently operates in the fields of mining and processing stone for cladding, manufacturing and trading artificial quartz stone, producing and trading indoor and outdoor wooden furniture, wood pellets, distributing Toyota automobiles, and real estate business.

The majority of the company’s revenue comes from its two strategic product segments: wood and stone.

In 2026, Phu Tai targets revenue of VND 8,790 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 760 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 19% and 20%, respectively, compared to 2025.

According to the plan, the wood segment will continue to account for a large proportion of the company’s revenue, with a target of VND 4,880 billion, up 22%; the stone segment is expected to reach VND 2,369 billion, up 26% compared to 2025.
