Speaking at a ceremony marking Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Phạm Anh Tuấn urged public agencies to improve support for businesses and entrepreneurs to accelerate investment and deliver projects on schedule.
Gia Lai has nearly 20,300 enterprises, with the private sector accounting for more than 80% of its gross regional domestic product. Businesses also contribute to job creation, public revenue and social welfare programmes.

Tuấn said government agencies should adopt a service-oriented approach, addressing business difficulties through concrete action.
He called for shorter administrative procedures, concurrent processing of investment preparations where regulations allow, and measures to reduce input costs.
He also demanded action against harassment of businesses, avoidance of duties and failures to take responsibility.
Procedures for projects licensed in 2026 should be accelerated so construction can begin before the end of the year.
Businesses, meanwhile, should focus on substantive investment, maintain project progress and quality, and bring developments into operation on time, he said.
Tuấn encouraged enterprises to modernise equipment and adopt automation, robotics and artificial intelligence, while developing green production and circular economy practices to improve productivity and competitiveness.
The province is preparing a plan to support technological innovation and prioritising transport, electricity and water infrastructure for production and business activities.
It also intends to select around 15–20 pioneering enterprises to pilot support mechanisms intended to encourage wider business development.

He urged the Gia Lai Provincial Business Association to strengthen its role in connecting businesses with the government, promoting cooperation and supporting the province’s growth targets.
Held at the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Center in Quy Nhon Ward, the ceremony also introduced the association’s 58-member executive committee for its fourth term, covering 2026–2031.
Attendees included provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairpersons Nguyễn Thị Thanh Lịch and Nguyễn Hữu Quế, members of the provincial Party Standing Committee, and representatives of provincial departments and agencies.
The provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to the association and other organisations and individuals for outstanding achievements.
The association was recognised for connecting and supporting businesses and contributing to local socio-economic development.
