Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn inspected land clearance and construction progress for Component Projects 1 and 2 of the expressway project, including contract packages passing through Hra and Dak Po communes.
According to the Provincial Project Management Board for Transport and Civil Works, the investor for both component projects, land clearance and construction have recently met or exceeded planned schedules.
For Component Project 1, covering 22km from Km0+000 to Km22+000, local authorities have handed over 178.95 hectares of the required 179.498 hectares, equivalent to about 21.9km of the route.
This represents 99.5% completion, with the remaining 100 metres expected to be handed over by September 29, 2026.
For Component Project 2, covering the section from Km22+000 to Km90+000, about 44.85km of the 62.47km requiring clearance has been handed over, or 72%. This corresponds to 414.55 hectares of the required 576.77 hectares.
Under the current plan, 50.33km, or 80.6%, of Component Project 2 is expected to be handed over by September 30. The remaining land is scheduled for handover before October 20.
Construction is also progressing on Component Project 1.
At package XL.01, covering Km0+000 to Km12+000, 32 construction teams are currently working on the site.
Completed work is valued at 333.81 billion VND (about US$12.84 million), out of a total package value of 2.546 trillion VND (about US$97.92 million), equivalent to 13.1%.
The value of completed work is expected to exceed 659 billion VND (about US$25.35 million), or 26%, by the end of December 2026.
At package XL.02, covering Km12+000 to Km22+000, 23 construction teams have been mobilized.
Completed work is valued at 202.83 billion VND (about US$7.80 million) out of a total 1.8518 trillion VND (about US$71.22 million), representing 10.95%.
The package is projected to reach about 435 billion VND (about US$16.73 million) in completed work, or 24%, by the end of December.
For the contract packages under Component Project 2, covering Km22+000 to Km90+000, contractors are mobilizing machinery, equipment, materials and workers to carry out construction along the route in line with the approved schedule.
During the inspection, Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn heard reports from the project investor, contractors and local authorities on land clearance progress and outstanding difficulties. He also received commitments on specific construction schedules for individual contract packages.
Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn praised the efforts of the investor, local authorities and construction units in coordinating land clearance and working with residents to remove houses and other structures so that cleared land could be handed over to contractors.
He said the Quy Nhon–Pleiku Expressway is important for improving regional connectivity, promoting trade and supporting socio-economic development in Gia Lai.
Mr. Phạm Anh Tuấn called on provincial departments, agencies, local authorities and the investor to continue coordinating closely to resolve land-clearance obstacles and ensure cleared sites are handed over to contractors on schedule.
