A grassroots podcast launched by a group of young creators in Gia Lai is emerging as a rare space for local youth to speak candidly about pressures, ambitions and the uncertainties of early adulthood.

“Một tách trà cùng Luna” (“A Cup of Tea with Luna”), produced by the Luna Team in Diên Hồng Ward, has attracted steady engagement since its first episode aired in November 2025, offering short, intimate conversations featuring students, freelancers and young entrepreneurs.

Established in August 2025 by four friends with a shared interest in digital content, Luna Team began the podcast two months later after recognizing that many young people around them lacked a place to talk openly about personal struggles.

Episodes are released on the TikTok channel “Luna, một tách trà” three times a week, with each guest appearing in a set of three clips lasting about 9–10 minutes each. Settings shift depending on the guest’s story, creating a tailored environment for each conversation.

In more than five months, the series has produced over 20 episodes, each drawing 1,000–2,000 views and generating comments in which listeners share their own experiences. Several young people have contacted the team asking to join future recordings.

Team leader Nguyễn Thị Thúy Loan said the project aims to help young people pause amid the rapid pace of modern life. “Many rarely have time to sit with themselves,” she said. “We wanted to create a space where they can slow down, listen to themselves and share things they’ve never voiced before.”

Guests say the podcast has become a source of emotional support. Nguyễn Đức Minh, a phone repair worker and musician from Diên Hồng Ward, said sharing his story helped him overcome periods of doubt after years of doing odd jobs and feeling pressure seeing peers with stable careers. “After the recording, I felt lighter and more motivated to continue on my path,” he said.

The program has also spotlighted young people returning to their hometowns to build careers. Among them is Đặng Quang Đạt from Biển Hồ Commune, who majored in Business Administration before returning to Gia Lai in early 2019 to open a coffee shop.

Appearing on the podcast encouraged him to step out of his comfort zone. After the episode aired, he received messages from young people considering similar choices. “I realized I had come a long way,” he said. “Sharing my story helped others, too.”

Psychotherapist Hà Mỹ Chi in Pleiku said such platforms are valuable, noting that early adulthood is often marked by uncertainty around education, work and relationships. “Young people stand at many crossroads but lack experience to make decisions,” she said. “Spaces like this help them see they are not alone.”

Luna Team plans to expand its topics, feature guests from more fields and upgrade production quality. What began as simple conversations in a small room has grown into a community space where young people in the Central Highlands feel heard, understood and connected.
