Young entrepreneurs from Gia Lai honored for innovation and community impact

Three young entrepreneurs from Gia Lai province have been recognized at the Red Star Awards in Hanoi for their innovation, leadership, and community contributions.

Despite working in different industries, they share a common journey, rising from humble beginnings, embracing innovation, and leading their businesses to success while fostering sustainable growth.

The awardees are Lê Minh Thức, Director of Viên Phương Co., Ltd.; Võ Anh Tuấn, Director of Tân Anh Tuấn One Member Co., Ltd.; and Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Oanh, Director of Quốc Thiên Phúc Co., Ltd.

Born in 1988 in Phù Cát commune, Lê Minh Thức graduated in Industrial Management from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. After gaining strategic experience at Hoa Sen Group, he returned home to establish Viên Phương Co., Ltd.

Since 2017, Thức has transformed his company from a small transport service into a major supplier of electrical and water equipment, as well as a manufacturer of agricultural plastic pipes. His innovative approach expanded the firm’s reach across Vietnam’s Central and Central Highlands regions. Annual revenue has surged from under VND 10 billion (USD 390,000) in 2016 to over VND 140 billion (USD 5.46 million), providing stable jobs for more than 40 employees.

“My success comes from shifting the business model and focusing on plastic pipe production for agriculture”, Thức said. “I aim to strengthen the local supply chain and support regional production”.

Thức continues to invest in environmentally friendly technology and plans to expand operations to Vietnam’s Southwest region, emphasizing that business growth must align with community development.

Innovating in insulation material production

Võ Anh Tuấn, born in 1980 in Quy Nhơn, graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Since founding Tân Anh Tuấn One Member Co., Ltd. in 2006, he has led the company to become a leading producer of foam boxes, EPS foam, and PE foam films — key components in product packaging and insulation.

By investing in automation, solar power, and digital management systems, Tuấn increased productivity by up to 35%. His company’s products are now trusted by major enterprises throughout Vietnam’s Central region. Annual revenue rose from VND 25 billion (USD 975,000) in 2016 to nearly VND 70 billion (USD 2.73 million) in 2024.

With the motto “Innovate to lead - Quality to assert - Responsibility for sustainable sevelopment,” Tuấn promotes eco-friendly manufacturing and community engagement. “Innovation is the key to long-term competitiveness,” he said. “We are now developing high-tech products and adopting circular production to reduce plastic waste and emissions.”

Tuấn’s business not only drives regional growth but also provides stable employment and upskilling opportunities for local workers.

Empowering change through green business and compassion

Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Oanh, born in 1985 in Quy Nhơn, graduated from the University of Foreign Trade and built a career in finance and international trade before joining her family business.

Since 2009, she has expanded Quốc Tú Trading Co., Ltd. in automobile distribution and, in 2020, established Quốc Thiên Phúc Co., Ltd. in Quy Nhơn, specializing in car dealerships and green technology. By 2025, the company became a 3S authorized dealer of TMT Motors, distributing Wuling electric vehicles in line with Vietnam’s green mobility trend.

Revenue skyrocketed from VND 1.16 billion (USD 45,000) in 2021 to VND 96.75 billion (USD 3.77 million) in 2024.

“When entering the electric vehicle market, I focused on after-sales service, technical quality, and promoting sustainable consumer habits,” Oanh said. “Business success should build a greener, more sustainable future”.

Beyond business, Oanh contributes deeply to community welfare, providing 1,400 free meals monthly to underprivileged patients, building charity homes, and supporting disaster relief efforts. Her consistent philanthropy sends a clear message: business prosperity and social responsibility must go hand in hand.
