Not only has Vũ Hồng Quân effectively managed businesses with annual revenues reaching hundreds of billions of dong, he has also spread a spirit of sharing, supporting young people in their entrepreneurial journeys, and building a vibrant community of young entrepreneurs committed to their homeland.
Spreading social responsibility
What motivates you to dedicate time to social activities while simultaneously managing multiple companies across different sectors?
In recent years, our province has experienced rapid development, with infrastructure and the socio-economic landscape becoming increasingly vibrant. However, this growth has not been entirely even; many families still face hardship, and numerous young people and students require additional support to rise above their circumstances.
This has convinced me that success is not measured solely by profit or revenue, but also by what businesses and individuals can do to make the community a better place.
I view social welfare as a responsibility intrinsically linked to sustainable development. Every program supporting disadvantaged households, every charity house handed over, and every scholarship awarded to students carries not only material value but also contributes to building a more humane future.
Among your charitable activities, which project are you most passionate about and devoted to?
In my roles as a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation, and President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association, I have mobilized over 9 billion VND for social welfare programs, built 20 charity houses, three playgrounds for children, two kilometers of rural concrete roads, and supported funds such as “For the Poor” and “Gratitude,” as well as COVID-19 prevention efforts. I have also organized programs like “Warm Winter in the Highlands,” “Journey of Gratitude,” and “Warm Tet for Young Workers.”
Additionally, my company sponsors accommodation and education for eight orphans until they turn 18, and collaborates with the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, Provincial Youth Union, and Red Cross in various other social welfare initiatives. For me, investing in children is investing in the future.
Supporting young entrepreneurs
After studying abroad, why did you decide to return to your hometown to work and commit long-term?
Returning to my hometown in 2014 was a choice rooted in the responsibility of youth. I began by taking over a traditional business in the construction materials sector, and gradually expanded into various fields, from services and infrastructure to international cooperation.
A key highlight of this journey has been the focus on science and technology as a pillar of development. We have invested in commercializing research that combines fluorescence technology with artificial intelligence, creating rapid testing platforms applicable in essential areas such as food safety, water resources, agriculture, healthcare, and the environment.
As President of the young entrepreneurs association, what specific initiatives have you implemented to support the local youth startup movement?
Recently, support activities for young entrepreneurs have been diversified and tailored to each stage of the local startup movement. The Association has signed memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with the Provincial Vietnam Students’ Association, Quy Nhon University, FPT University Quy Nhon, and several other educational institutions to create direct connections between students, young people, and the business community.
Based on this foundation, numerous mentor-mentee programs have been organized, mobilizing young entrepreneurs to serve as professional advisors, supporting startup projects with guidance, access to capital, and business model development.
Dozens of youth-led projects have been nurtured, with many student groups receiving support in fundraising and market access. Annual business tours and practical exchanges are held to help young entrepreneurs understand business operations, human resource management, and cost control in various production and service sectors.
Thanks to his significant contributions, Vũ Hồng Quân has received multiple commendations from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association for his outstanding achievements in social welfare and the youth entrepreneurship movement from 2015 to the present.
