The Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee has ordered urgent completion of pending compensation and resettlement plans for the Nguyen Van Linh Road project, as well as the technical infrastructure project for the residential area along the same route in Dien Hong and Hoi Phu wards.

At a meeting on November 10, Vice Chairman Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang chaired discussions to address long-standing issues in land clearance and compensation.

The provincial land fund development Center reported that compensation plans have been approved in 19 phases, covering 676 households - 285 in the road construction area and 391 in the resettlement zone.

So far, 533 households (78.8%) have accepted the compensation plan, while 143 households have yet to agree or receive payments.

Compensation disbursement has been completed up to the 18th phase, with the 19th phase covering 132 households.

Among these, 28 have accepted the plan, while 104 in the technical infrastructure area remain unresolved.

Local authorities have continued outreach efforts, working with residents to clarify compensation values and resolve complaints.

Both Dien Hong and Hoi Phu ward People’s Committees have proposed enforcing land recovery in 35 cases and are continuing to persuade four remaining households in Hoi Phu ward.

Representatives from provincial departments cited challenges in achieving public consensus, noting inconsistencies in complaint handling and communication.

Vice Chairman Hoang emphasized that the Nguyen Van Linh Road project has faced significant obstacles due to limited agreement among affected households and gaps in compensation and resettlement procedures.

He directed all departments to review project dossiers, accelerate enforcement plans, and ensure timely disbursement of funds.

The Provincial Land Fund Development Center was instructed to finalize compensation plans, adjust resettlement land allocations, and provide additional financial support.

The Provincial Inspectorate and Department of Justice were tasked with assisting local authorities in reviewing legal dossiers and guiding enforcement procedures.

The Department of Finance was ordered to advance funds to ensure prompt payments to affected households.

Hoang also urged departments to address tax policy issues, complete revised land subdivision plans, and review soil resource sites to guarantee construction progress.

Contractors were instructed to mobilize personnel and equipment to ensure continuous work once land is cleared, aiming for the road to open and all allocated funds to be fully disbursed by December 31.
