Under the plan, traceability activities will be expanded province-wide, with a focus on strengthening public communication in line with Party directives and resolutions on digital transformation and economic development.
From 2026 to 2030, authorities will publish at least five in-depth articles or reports and organize five conferences, seminars, forums or training sessions related to product and goods traceability.
The plan sets targets to build human capacity, including training at least 10 officials from management agencies in professional traceability skills and organizing a minimum of 10 training courses to raise awareness among production and business enterprises, as well as relevant organizations across the province.
Gia Lai will maintain and upgrade its traceability infrastructure to meet basic business needs, ensuring that at least one provincial traceability system remains operational and connected to the National Product and Goods Traceability Portal. By 2030, the province aims to invest in dedicated software and databases to support enterprises and ensure compliance with traceability regulations.
Local authorities will encourage and support enterprises to develop their own traceability systems, mobilizing both internal and external resources. During the 2026–2030 period, the province plans to support the development of at least 30 traceability models for products and goods, with these models expanded to at least 30 related enterprises.
The plan also support for enterprises and scientific research projects applying science and technology to develop traceability solutions. Businesses will receive guidance on registering and using barcodes, as well as access to services and solutions throughout the development and deployment of traceability systems.
Additional assistance will be provided for the establishment and implementation of conformity certification for traceability systems, ensuring that organizations offering conformity assessment services comply with legal requirements. The province also aims to mobilize social resources to participate in consultancy and conformity assessment, supporting state management, business needs, socio-economic development, and national defence and security at the local level.
Authorities will offer timely guidance on applying standards and technical regulations. By 2030, at least 10 enterprises are expected to have traceability systems certified as compliant with national or international standards. The plan also encourages active participation in international cooperation on traceability activities.
Seven key groups of tasks and solutions have been identified to ensure effective implementation. The Department of Science and Technology has been designated as the lead agency, coordinating with relevant departments and units to support the Provincial People’s Committee in executing the plan.
