Gia Lai rubber firms post strong 2025 results, warn against challenges ahead

Four state-owned rubber companies in Gia Lai province reported robust business performance in 2025 at a conference held on Jan. 30 at Mang Yang Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company in Đak Đoa commune.

Collectively, Mang Yang, Chư Păh, Chư Sê, and Chư Prông Rubber One Member Limited Liability Companies generated total revenue of VND 1,623 billion (about US$61.9 million), achieving 111.6% of their annual plan and VND 129 billion more than in 2024. Pre-tax profit reached VND 569.16 billion (approximately US$21.7 million), or 137.7% of target, a VND 124 billion year-on-year increase. Average worker monthly income ranged from VND 7 million to 11.2 million (around US$267–$427).

The conference reviewed Party activities, production and business operations, and Trade Union and Youth Union work, and set strategic priorities for 2026, including intensive plantation improvements, sustainable growth, and innovation to support green and smart industrial clusters. Companies also underscored commitments to social welfare, political stability and employment for ethnic minority communities.

Dương Mah Tiệp, vice chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, and Lê Thanh Hưng, general director of Vietnam Rubber Group, attended along with provincial officials, local authorities and representatives from related companies in Quảng Ngãi and Đắk Lắk.

Party Committees across the four firms maintained active engagement with workers and expanded membership by 17 new Party members in 2025. Youth Union initiatives highlighted youth development, introducing 65 outstanding members to the Party, with 15 admitted. The Trade Unions reported success in representing employee interests and strengthening retention through improved policies.

For 2026, the companies planned to bolster land-use efficiency, pursue science-driven innovations and collaborate with local authorities to address investment, land leasing and value chain challenges. They also pledged to maintain social welfare and contribute to political security and national defense objectives.

At the event, provincial and Vietnam Rubber Group leaders presented awards to 16 collectives and recognized Mang Yang and Chư Sê Rubber Companies for early completion of 2025 targets, alongside individual honors for outstanding performance.
