In his remarks, Chinh described spring as a symbol of renewal and expressed hopes that the fair would help establish a stronger brand for Vietnamese goods.

He called the event a “seed of prosperity” that would yield long-term results through unity and collective effort, contributing to national development in a new era he characterized as one of “prosperity, affluence, civilization, and happiness”.

The Spring Fair 2026 commemorates the upcoming Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the successful conclusion of the 14th National Party Congress, and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Feb. 3, 1930 - Feb. 3, 2026).

The government considers the fair not only an economic event but also an important political task aimed at boosting domestic consumption during the peak Tet shopping season. Organizers seek to strengthen links between production, distribution, and market expansion while supporting supply chains and domestic sales networks.

Spanning about 100,000 square meters indoors and 45,246 square meters outdoors, the fair comprises 10 exhibition halls, each roughly 10,000 square meters.
