Gia Lai will conduct surveys to identify investment opportunities in the three Cambodian provinces, participate in investment promotion activities, organize a border market at the Le Thanh International Border Gate, and strengthen trade links. The province also plans to work with its Cambodian counterparts to develop joint tourism products.

In agriculture, Gia Lai will dispatch experts to Cambodia to provide training in livestock and veterinary techniques. The programme will also support the development of sustainable cassava cultivation models and integrated pest management practices.

The province will continue providing 60 scholarships for students from Preah Vihear, Stung Treng and Ratanakiri to study at educational institutions in Gia Lai.

The cooperation plan also includes cultural, sports and youth exchanges, along with people-to-people activities in border areas. Both sides will enhance cooperation in healthcare through staff training programmes and technical support for Cambodian medical facilities.

Gia Lai’s Department of Foreign Affairs has been assigned to oversee and accelerate the implementation of the cooperation activities, consolidate results and submit a report to the Provincial People’s Committee before November 15, 2026.
