Youth Culture and Sports Festival inaugurated in Gia Lai

(GLO) – The 2025 Gia Lai Youth Culture and Sports Festival officially opened on October 10 at the Provincial Youth Activity Center, marking the beginning of a series of cultural and sporting events for young people across the province.

Organized by the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation of Gia Lai Province, the festival celebrates the 1st Congress of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union of Gia Lai for the 2025–2030 term, and the 69th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation (October 15, 1956 – October 15, 2025).

The event features a wide range of activities, including a volleyball tournament for Youth Union and Association officials, a basketball competition among youth clubs, a Bả trạo singing festival, and a Bình Định traditional martial arts performance.

According to organizers, the festival aims to foster unity, promote healthy lifestyles, and strengthen connections among Youth Union members, association members, and young people, while contributing to the development of youth organizations at all levels.

Immediately following the opening ceremony, the youth basketball club tournament began, featuring nine teams from high schools across Gia Lai Province. The closing ceremony is scheduled for the evening of October 12.

In celebration of the Vietnam Youth Federation’s 69th anniversary, the Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union and Federation will also hold the 15-10 Awards Ceremony to honor outstanding young individuals at the provincial level. The program will include the launch of Gia Lai’s first digitalized Party cells and “red addresses” (historical sites) recognized for their revolutionary significance.
