Located on the site of a former small bus station, the food street features two entrances on Trần Phú and Nguyễn Thiện Thuật streets, marked by vibrant lighting displays and a zodiac-themed decoration. The venue offers a wide range of culinary options, from local highland specialties to Asian dishes, catering to diverse tastes.
Among the highlights are West Gia Lai’s signature “two-bowl" phở and bún rạm, alongside freshly prepared dishes such as bánh xèo, bánh khọt, and Hong Kong-style steamed rice rolls. The street also appeals to younger visitors with sweets, fruit, grilled skewers, and Korean cuisine.
Visitors have responded positively to the new attraction. Trần Thị Thu Ngân, a local resident, said the space is clean, lively, and reasonably priced, making it ideal for evening outings with family and friends.
For vendors, the food street offers improved business opportunities. Hoàng Mạnh Tuấn, who operates a Korean food stall, said the location helps attract more customers and encourages better service and food quality.
The project, initiated by the former Pleiku City People’s Committee, began construction in early 2025 to upgrade infrastructure in the Nguyễn Thiện Thuật–Trần Phú area. The site now includes 73 lots, comprising 54 food stalls and 19 kiosks for souvenirs and OCOP products.
Management has emphasized safety, hygiene, and transparency. Vendors are required to use traceable ingredients, display prices clearly, and avoid overcharging. Cashless payment is also encouraged.
Traffic and security measures have been implemented, including designated parking areas and restrictions on car access from 5 p.m. to maintain order and safety.
Authorities expect Diên Hồng Food Street to not only enhance Pleiku’s nightlife but also promote local culture and support the growth of commerce and services in the region.
