Gia Lai brings Central Highlands culture to Hanoi in February showcase

Gia Lai Province will promote its cultural identity and tourism potential in Hanoi on February 1 - 2 during “Gia Lai Day,” held as part of the “Hanoi Tourism welcomes 2026 - Get on Hanoi 2026” program.

The event, jointly organized by the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi Department of Tourism, will take place at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space on Trinh Cong Son Street in Tay Ho Ward.

According to the organizers, Gia Lai Day will feature a wide range of cultural and tourism showcases, including guided experiences of Central Highlands gong culture, performances of Binh Dinh traditional opera and martial arts, and demonstrations of local handicrafts.

Exhibitions will present musical instruments of Central Highlands ethnic groups, outstanding OCOP products, and regional specialties. Visitors will also be able to taste Gia Lai’s signature specialty coffee.

The program will introduce activities planned for the National Tourism Year in Gia Lai, alongside major events, festivals, and information about the province’s investment promotion efforts.

Officials said the event provides a significant opportunity to highlight Gia Lai’s image to residents of the capital and tourists, showcasing its cultural values through music, colours, and distinctive cultural-tourism products. It also aims to present a dynamic, friendly, and culturally rich Gia Lai as it prepares to welcome domestic and international visitors ahead of National Tourism Year 2026.
