As the 14th National Party Congress convenes amid a solemn and spirited atmosphere, carrying the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation, the Party Committee and people of Gia Lai are placing high expectations on the Congress’s strategic decisions for the country’s next phase of development.
On this occasion, Mr. Thái Đại Ngọc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Delegation of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Organization to the Congress, outlined his vision, objectives, and key measures aimed at transforming Gia Lai into a well-developed province in the new era.
▪ The 14th National Party Congress is taking place as Vietnam enters a new phase of development marked by fundamental and breakthrough changes. Based on the spirit and major orientations of the Congress, what key objectives will Gia Lai focus on in the coming period?
Mr. Thái Đại Ngọc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee.
- The 14th National Party Congress has established major orientations for rapid and sustainable national development. These include building a clean and strong political system, fostering the strength of great national unity, safeguarding national defense and security, and mobilizing all resources for socio-economic growth.
This framework provides an important foundation for the Party Organization and people of Gia Lai’s ethnic groups as they move into the 2025–2030 term with determination and resolve.
The Provincial Party Executive Committee has set the goal of developing Gia Lai into a rapidly and sustainably growing province. The vision is for Gia Lai to become a center for processing and manufacturing industries, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, services, tourism, semiconductor chips, and artificial intelligence. The province aims to become a relatively advanced locality, progressing in step with the nation as it enters a new stage of development.
▪ To realize this goal, what strategic breakthroughs should Gia Lai prioritize?
- To build Gia Lai into a well-developed province, we have identified strategic breakthroughs requiring focused leadership in the coming period.
First, Gia Lai will synchronously implement five growth pillars and four strategic breakthroughs, as adopted by the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 term. These measures are designed to create momentum and establish a sustainable foundation for socio-economic development.
Central to this strategy is the development of a green and knowledge-based economy, coupled with innovation and digital transformation. These efforts will enhance competitiveness and optimize the province’s land, resources, and human capital.
On infrastructure, the province will prioritize building a connected transportation network, logistics systems, energy facilities, and information and communications technology infrastructure. Strengthening regional linkages and integration with larger markets is considered essential for attracting investment, developing industries and services, and advancing high-tech agriculture.
The business climate will continue to be improved to ensure openness, transparency, and favorable conditions for domestic and international investors. This is expected to generate a competitive advantage over other localities.
Human resource development remains a decisive factor. The province will focus on training and upgrading the workforce, especially in high-tech and high-quality service sectors, through education and training programs that link schools with businesses.
With innovation, unity, and strong determination, supported by the leadership of the Central Government, Gia Lai is confident in its ability to unlock potential, overcome challenges, and achieve its development aspirations.

▪ Unity and consensus within the Party and among the people are consistently emphasized in the development process. What measures will Gia Lai take to strengthen great national unity?
- Unity and consensus within the Party and among the people are fundamental for Gia Lai to reach its development goals. This principle is not only a longstanding leadership perspective but also a spiritual and practical resource for implementing socio-economic tasks, ensuring national defense and security, and strengthening the political system.
When the Party, people, and armed forces unite behind shared goals, any challenge can be overcome. This collective strength is what enables Gia Lai to make breakthroughs and pursue rapid, sustainable, and harmonious development.
The Provincial Party Executive Committee has determined that strict implementation of Party building and political system strengthening is essential. Consolidating unity in both awareness and action across the Party organization will be a priority.
The province will also reinforce communication efforts, enhance political and ideological work, and bolster the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in mobilizing and uniting the population to support major provincial policies and socio-economic development.
At the same time, Gia Lai emphasizes fostering and spreading the spirit of great national unity, building consensus from grassroots to provincial levels and among both officials and citizens. This cohesion will help strengthen the political system and encourage broad public participation in the province’s development efforts.
All these measures are grounded in the unity of the Party, the consensus of the people, and collaboration with the business community—forming the combined strength for Gia Lai to advance rapidly and sustainably.
