For years, Tấn, who also serves as Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, has coordinated support for disadvantaged households, promoted livelihood models, and mobilized local organizations to help residents achieve stable incomes. Born in 1990, he rose through youth union ranks before assuming leadership roles in Chư Păh Commune.
One notable case is that of Rơ Châm Chưnh, a young villager whose family had been classified as near-poor and depended on metalworking and a small rice field. Seeing Chưnh’s determination but limited capital, Tấn worked with the Fatherland Front, security forces, and local associations to provide a breeding cow and technical support. The animal calved in 2023, forming the basis for expanded production.
Tấn later served as guarantor for Chưnh to obtain an 80 million VND (≈ USD 3,200) loan from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and encouraged relatives to help him acquire coffee land. The farm is now in its main harvest season, and the cow has produced a second calf, enabling the family to escape near-poverty.
Village Party Cell Secretary Puih Manh said the model offers an example for other young residents, highlighting Tấn’s responsiveness to community needs. Beyond financial and technical support, Tấn frequently monitors households’ progress and helps address challenges to ensure sustainable development.
His broader initiatives include building youth-managed roads, public facilities, and environmental projects; organizing vocational training in agriculture and mechanics; supporting job fairs; and leading volunteer campaigns. He also mediates local disputes and maintains cultural, sports, and blood-donation activities that attract large youth participation.
Residents describe him as approachable and committed, crediting his work with strengthening communal solidarity, improving livelihoods, and fostering civic engagement. Tấn said each successful household reflects collective effort, emphasizing his role as a connector within the community.
Lê Thị Ánh Dương, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chư Păh commune, remarked: “Đặng Đình Tấn is a young, enthusiastic, and responsible official who is wholeheartedly devoted to the people. He not only excels in his duties but also proactively seeks practical solutions to support disadvantaged households. His dedication and creativity have enhanced the quality of grassroots movements and inspired the entire commune.”
