Vu Tien Anh, Chief of the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the Provincial People’s Council, chaired the press conference, which drew leaders of the Council’s committees, provincial departments and agencies, and representatives from central and local media.
The year-end session will evaluate the Standing Committee’s activities in 2025, set strategic directions for 2026, and review oversight reports on voter feedback collected before the mid-2025 session, including unresolved issues carried over from earlier meetings.
Delegates will also examine Gia Lai’s 2025 socio-economic and defense-security performance and frame development tasks for 2026. The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is scheduled to report on its work in government-building in 2025, while judicial agencies will present operational results for 2025 and plans for the following year.
The Provincial People’s Committee will submit reports on the 2025 state budget estimate implementation; allocation of contingency and unassigned budget items; progress on the 2025 development investment plan; and major directions for the 2026 plan. Additional reviews include thrift and waste prevention efforts; anti-corruption and anti-negative practice results; and crime prevention and law enforcement performance in 2025, with task outlines for 2026.
A total of 61 draft resolutions are expected to be considered, including two from the Standing Committee and 59 from the Provincial People’s Committee. Key proposals cover allocation norms for 2026 regular local budget expenditures; decentralization of revenue sources and budget responsibilities; the 2026 state budget estimate; the 2026–2030 five-year financial plan; the 2026 public investment plan; support levels for animal disease recovery; policies for the 2025–2030 population resettlement program; a project to preserve and promote the Gong Cultural Space heritage for 2026–2030; and the province’s tourism development strategy for 2025–2030 with a vision to 2045.
The session will feature group and plenary discussions, question-and-answer segments, and voting on resolutions. Several key events will be broadcast live by Gia Lai Newspaper, Radio and Television.
At the press briefing, journalists called for improved access to information and documents to ensure comprehensive reporting.
