The event was held at the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Center in Quy Nhon Ward, with online connections to 139 local sites across the province.
The conference was attended by senior provincial leaders, including Thái Đại Ngọc, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Phạm Anh Tuấn, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Nguyễn Ngọc Lương, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Gia Lai.
In his opening remarks, Secretary Thái Đại Ngọc emphasized the political importance of the conference in unifying awareness, determination, and action across the Party, people, and armed forces to swiftly translate the Congress Resolution into concrete outcomes.
The 1st provincial Party Congress, held from October 2 to 4, 2025, brought together 449 delegates representing more than 147,000 Party members. The Congress occurred shortly after Gia Lai completed its administrative restructuring and adopted a two-tier local government model.
It marked a milestone in the province’s commitment to implementing the 13th National Party Congress Resolution and advancing comprehensive development and integration.
Delegates at the Congress discussed and approved key documents, including the Political Report, the Review Report on the 2020-2025 term, the Action Program for Resolution implementation, and the Report contributing to the 14th National Party Congress draft documents.
These documents encapsulate the collective vision and aspirations of Gia Lai’s people and ethnic communities, expressing a strong will for innovation, unity, and resilience.
Secretary Thái Đại Ngọc called on all Party members to “transform good resolutions into effective actions”, stressing the importance of personal responsibility and consistent follow-through to ensure meaningful results in people’s daily lives.
Throughout the one-day conference, delegates heard presentations from provincial leaders on core themes: Party building, political system strengthening, economic growth, science and technology, environmental protection, defense and security, foreign affairs, and social development.
The Resolution identifies 33 development targets, four key task groups, five growth pillars, and four strategic breakthroughs guiding Gia Lai’s development over the next five years. The province aims to position itself as a regional hub for renewable energy, agro-forestry processing, tourism, and logistics in the South Central-Central Highlands region.
By 2030, Gia Lai targets a GRDP growth rate of 10-10.5% per year, per capita GRDP of USD 6,300–6,500, and total budget revenue exceeding 41 trillion VND (about USD 1.6 billion). These goals reflect the province’s determination to become a modern, dynamic, and culturally rich locality, “from the great forests to the great sea”.
