Gia Lai and An Giang museums open joint cultural exhibition in southern Vietnam

An Giang provincial museum and the Pleiku museum of Gia Lai on May 27 opened a joint exhibition titled “The Colors of Gia Lai and An Giang Cultures” at the An Giang Provincial Museum’s Facility 1 in Rach Gia Ward, An Giang Province.

The exhibition is part of activities marking the National Tourism Year – Gia Lai 2026 and aims to strengthen professional cooperation and exchanges among museums in Vietnam.

Around 200 photographs, artifacts and display panels are being showcased, highlighting the natural landscapes, tourist attractions, ethnic communities and recognized intangible cultural heritage values of Gia Lai and An Giang provinces.

Featured cultural elements from Gia Lai include the Space of Gong Culture in the Central Highlands, Bahnar epics, the Rain Praying Ceremony of Yang Pơtao Apui, Bình Định traditional martial arts, Bài chòi folk art and Hát bội classical opera.

The exhibition also introduces cultural heritage from An Giang, including the Southern Đờn ca tài tử music tradition, the Bà Chúa Xứ Núi Sam Festival, the Nguyễn Trung Trực Temple Festival, and traditional celebrations of the Khmer, Cham and Hoa ethnic communities.

In addition to cultural displays, the exhibition presents a range of distinctive cultural products from both provinces.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until May 31, 2026.
