The event was held to commemorate the 136th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026).
Among those attending the ceremony were Nguyễn Hữu Quế, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee; Meritorious Artist Đặng Công Hưng, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and Head of the Organizing Committee for the “Land and People of Gia Lai” Sculpture Creation Camp; local authorities; sponsors; and artists whose works were selected for construction and display in the project’s second phase.
According to Đặng Công Hưng, the first phase of the sculpture complex, which featured 14 works and was inaugurated on Aug. 19, 2025, received positive responses from both residents and the art community.
Building on that momentum, organizers proceeded with Phase II to further enrich the artistic landscape of the Suối Hội Phú urban area and support efforts to develop the site into a distinctive cultural and tourism destination for Gia Lai Province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Hữu Quế thanked sponsors and sculptors from across the country for their contributions and support for Gia Lai.
He also urged local authorities to continue preserving the artworks and improving the exhibition space to help promote the value of the province’s “artistic avenue” to both residents and visitors.
