According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the 2025 budget allocation of VND 397 billion (about USD 16.2 million) for the project has been fully disbursed. Bomb and mine clearance has been completed, contractor selections approved, and contracts signed for design, supervision, construction, installation and project insurance.

At the Ia Púch school site, foundation work has begun for key facilities including the academic buildings, staff housing, canteen, multipurpose hall and student dormitory. Other sites are conducting ground leveling, marking construction areas and mobilizing materials and machinery.

Lâm Hải Giang commended agencies and contractors for their coordination to date but underscored that the project represents a humanitarian policy priority for the Party and State, aimed at improving educational access for ethnic minority students in border and island areas.

He instructed contractors and consulting units to establish detailed construction schedules, mobilize adequate manpower and maintain continuous workflow to prevent delays. He also demanded strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

The Vice Chairman warned that any contractor unable to meet its commitments must promptly report so the project owner can replace it, stressing that construction “must not be halted on site.”

Earlier the same day, Lâm Hải Giang conducted on-site inspections in the communes of Ia Púch, Ia Nan, Ia Mơ and Ia Dom.
