(GLO) – Grassroots Party committees across Vietnam are entering the 2025-2030 term with a commitment to identifying local bottlenecks and leveraging unique advantages to accelerate socio-economic growth, strengthen governance, and improve livelihoods.

Ayun commune: Digital governance, tourism and infrastructure

Ayun commune, a largely agricultural area with a high poverty rate among ethnic minorities, has outlined three strategic breakthroughs: institutional reform with digital governance, tourism and service development, and infrastructure investment.

Party Secretary Nguyễn Thị Thanh Nga emphasized that institutional reform and digital governance are essential to synchronize development programs, while infrastructure, particularly transport, serves as the “railway” enabling growth.

Leveraging Kon Ka Kinh National Park and the Bahnar ethnic village of Đê Kjiêng, Ayun is positioning tourism as both an economic driver and a means to preserve cultural identity.

An Phú ward: Planning, technology and private sector growth

Following a merger of one ward and two communes, An Phú ward faces challenges of unsynchronized planning and lagging infrastructure. Its Party committee has prioritized four breakthroughs: comprehensive planning, digital transformation, cadre development, and business support.

With 329 active businesses and cooperatives, An Phú’s enterprises generate significant export turnover, averaging about $520 million annually, and are key contributors to the province’s economy. Secretary Lưu Trung Nghĩa stressed that fostering private sector growth aligns with Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development.

Ia Ko commune: High-tech agriculture and infrastructure

Ia Ko commune has identified cadre development, science and technology adoption, high-tech agriculture, and socio-economic infrastructure as its breakthrough areas. The commune aims to restructure its economy while maintaining agriculture as the core sector that drives other industries.

By 2030, Ia Ko seeks to become a locality characterized by open, harmonious, and culturally rich development, putting quality of life at the center of social policy.

Ia Pa commune: Human resources and infrastructure

Ia Pa commune is focusing on cadre training and resource mobilization for infrastructure as its two “backbones” of growth.

Secretary Rơ Chăm La Ni highlighted the importance of building a capable grassroots leadership team, especially village and hamlet Party Secretaries.

Infrastructure investment, including transport and irrigation, is expected to modernize the rural landscape, boost commercial agriculture, and raise incomes for residents.
