Once fully operational, the plant is expected to supply high-quality agricultural inputs to farmers in Gia Lai and other provinces across the Central Highlands and South Central regions. The project is also expected to support the development of high-tech agriculture, create jobs, boost budget revenue and raise local industrial output.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, a member of the provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee.

Addressing the event, Hoang said Gia Lai is positioning itself as a dynamic economic centre in the Central and Central Highlands regions, citing advantages in agriculture, a strategic location linking major east-west and north-south economic corridors, and an increasingly modern transport infrastructure.

He said the commissioning of the plant would help promote agricultural industrialisation, increase value-added production and strengthen the agricultural–industrial value chain in the locality.

Gia Lai has so far attracted 23 fertilizer manufacturing projects, with total registered investment exceeding VND 903 billion (around USD 36.1 million). These projects have a combined capacity of more than 868,000 tonnes per year and provide jobs for about 1,200 workers.

During the 2021–2025 period, the province’s fertilizer industry has maintained strong growth, contributing positively to socio-economic development. Hoang said the provincial government would continue to support businesses and create favourable conditions for efficient operations and investment expansion in line with sustainable development goals.
