The Secretary of the Party Committee of Dien Hong Ward, Đoàn Hữu Dũng, on January 27 visited a family in particularly difficult circumstances, offering encouragement and financial assistance as local authorities pledged continued support.

Mrs. Vũ Thị Hay, nearly 60 and temporarily residing in Residential Group 7 of Dien Hong Ward in Gia Lai Province, earns a living by collecting scrap to raise her two grandchildren, one in third grade and the other just over two years old. The family lives in extreme hardship.

Local officials said Mrs. Hay has no permanent residency in the ward. Her daughter, who suffers from mental illness, has left home and cannot be located, while the children’s father is also out of contact. Mrs. Hay is the sole caregiver and provider.

During the visit, the Ward Party Committee Secretary expressed concern, offered words of encouragement, and delivered emergency financial support. He urged local agencies and mass organizations to continue monitoring the family’s situation and to implement long-term assistance to ensure the children remain in school.

Authorities were also instructed to help the family complete birth registration for the younger child, ensuring full educational rights, and to review options for providing health insurance support for Mrs. Hay.

The ward will continue mobilizing organizations, individuals, and benefactors to assist the family in stabilizing their livelihood and securing a better future for the children.
