Gia Lai honors innovative agricultural products and startup ideas

The Gia Lai Provincial Farmers’ Association held the closing ceremony of the 2025 Agricultural Products Festival and Outstanding Agricultural Products Competition on Saturday morning in Pleiku Ward, celebrating innovation and creativity among local farmers.

The 2025 contest recognized numerous pioneering products that showcased advancements in processing, preservation, and brand development.

The Organizing Committee presented two first prizes: one to Phạm Quốc Bảo from Hoài Nhơn Nam Ward for his varieties of rice paper, and another to Phạm Ngọc Nghĩa from Chư A Thai Commune for his ST24 rice.

In addition, four second prizes, six third prizes, and 28 consolation prizes were awarded to other exceptional products.

During the event, the committee also honored winners of the “Gia Lai Province’s First Innovative Farmer Startup Contest 2025,” recognizing 11 outstanding ideas and projects for their creativity, feasibility, and contribution to socio-economic development aligned with the OCOP Program.

The first prize went to Mỹ An Agricultural and Fisheries Service Cooperative in Phù Mỹ Đông Commune for its herbal roll-on essential oil and mint-based health products.

Two second prizes were awarded to: Trần Thị Vị from Vân Hội 2 Hamlet, Tuy Phước Commune, for her citronella–mugwort incense production project, and Dương Đình Kiệt from Hamlet 12, Kbang Commune, for his macadamia cultivation and processing project combined with an agricultural tourism model.

The festival highlighted Gia Lai’s commitment to promoting innovation in agriculture, offering a platform to honor creative achievements and strengthen links between local producers, consumers, and businesses within and beyond the province.
