Gia Lai Power Company donates solar streetlights to border hamlet

The Youth Union of Gia Lai Power Company has delivered a “Lighting Up Rural Roads” project to residents of Duc Hung hamlet in Ia Nan commune, installing 15 solar-powered streetlights valued at 22.5 million VND (approximately USD 915).

The initiative was carried out on January 17 as part of the “Volunteer Winter - Lighting Up the Border” program marking the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 96th anniversary of the Party’s founding.

The installation aims to strengthen public security, improve traffic safety, and enhance living conditions for residents in the border commune.

During the program, technical staff from the company also inspected and repaired electrical systems for 10 households in Duc Hung hamlet.

According to the Youth Union, the organisation has deployed 11 “Lighting Up Rural Roads” projects across Gia Lai province since early 2025, with a total investment of about 224 million VND (approximately USD 9,100).
