Gia Lai province will promote its tourism potential at the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2026, which opens in Hanoi on April 10, positioning itself ahead of its role as host of the National Tourism Year 2026.

The province’s exhibition space has been designed to be both accessible and visually engaging, reflecting its prominence as the upcoming national tourism host and supporting efforts to enhance destination marketing.

Running from April 10 to April 12, VITM 2026 carries the theme “Digital Transformation and Green Growth – Elevating Vietnam’s Tourism.” Organised by the Vietnam Tourism Association, the event is expected to provide a platform for networking among local authorities, businesses and international partners, while promoting sustainable tourism development.

Cultural performances will form a key part of the programme, with local artisans showcasing Central Highlands ethnic musical instruments and Bình Định traditional martial arts. A dedicated stage will host traditional performances, while displays of the National Tourism Year 2026 logo and mascot will provide photo opportunities for visitors.

Officials said participation in VITM 2026 offers Gia Lai tourism businesses an opportunity to expand partnerships, develop new markets, and strengthen cooperation in building tour connections, while promoting and preserving the province’s cultural identity.
