The meeting, held in Pleiku, was attended by senior officials of Gia Lai, including Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Châu Ngọc Tuấn, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Council Trương Văn Đạt and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee Nguyễn Tuấn Anh.
The Lao delegations were led by Khăm-bun Duông-phạ-bang, Deputy Secretary of the Attapeu Party Committee, and Pa-đơm-phôn Sổn-tha-ni, Deputy Secretary of the Salavan Party Committee and Vice Governor of Salavan.

During the session, delegates reviewed the progress of cooperation under the 2021–2025 memorandum of understanding, which has produced significant results across education, healthcare, social welfare, rural development, science and technology, trade and tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and people-to-people diplomacy.

The Lao representatives congratulated Gia Lai on its socio-economic achievements and expressed appreciation for Vietnam’s support in infrastructure, poverty reduction, and human resource development.
Both Attapeu and Salavan pledged to continue working closely with Gia Lai to expand collaboration and maintain solidarity.

Gia Lai’s Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tuấn Anh emphasized the importance of consolidating the special Vietnam-Laos relationship, describing it as an “invaluable and sacred asset.”
He called for closer coordination in implementing existing agreements and for preparations to evaluate the 2021 - 2025 cooperation period ahead of signing new agreements for 2026 -2030.

The Gia Lai Department of Foreign Affairs was assigned as the focal point to oversee the coordination with southern Lao provinces and ensure effective implementation of cooperative programs.
