Between November 20 and December 3, more than 200 personnel from the two units were deployed to assist authorities and residents in the aftermath of historic flooding.
Troops cleared 44.5 kilometers of roads, unloaded and transported 247 tons of rice and relief goods at 15 distribution points, cleaned government buildings, schools and medical stations, and helped 70 households stabilize post-disaster living conditions.
The units also conducted disinfection across affected areas, supported the disposal of dead livestock, and worked to maintain environmental sanitation and prevent disease outbreaks following the floods.
Vice Chairwoman Lịch praised the soldiers’ dedication in relocating residents’ belongings, clearing mud, repairing homes, reopening routes and restoring hygiene.
She expressed gratitude, presented gifts to encourage the forces, and wished them good health and safety as they return to their units, urging them to continue upholding their commitment to public service.
