Senior leaders of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and the Gia Lai provincial government attended the ceremony, including Petrolimex Chairman Phạm Văn Thanh and provincial officials Nguyễn Ngọc Lương, Nguyễn Tự Công Hoàng, and Võ Thị Thu Hòa.
Chairman Phạm Ngọc Khuyến recalled that the company originated from the Quy Nhơn Petroleum Station, established on 9 December 1975 under the Petroleum Company of Region V. He noted that the company has consistently invested in infrastructure, transportation, storage systems, and retail network expansion while improving service quality and adopting modern technology.
Petrolimex Gia Lai currently operates 120 petroleum and petrochemical retail outlets supported by upgraded warehouses, ports, and logistics facilities. The company reports steady growth, with revenues increasing from VND 1,651 billion (approximately USD 66.0 million) in 2020 to VND 3,200 billion (USD 128.0 million) in 2024, and a projected VND 4,177 billion (USD 167.1 million) in 2025.
From 2020 to 2024, the company contributed VND 2,090 billion (USD 83.6 million) to the State budget, with an estimated VND 416 billion (USD 16.6 million) expected in 2025. Petrolimex Gia Lai has also maintained active social engagement and community support.
The company has received multiple state honors, including Third-Class Feat of Arms Orders in 1985 and 1991, and Labor Orders of all three classes in 1994, 2011, and 2016.
Provincial Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tự Công Hoàng commended the company’s contributions to local socio-economic development and affirmed the province’s continued support for its growth and role in energy security.
At the ceremony, the Provincial People’s Committee awarded Petrolimex Gia Lai the emulation flag for leading Emulation Group 13 in 2024. Company collectives and individuals also received Certificates of Merit. Petrolimex donated VND 3 billion (USD 120,000) to the Fund for the Poor through the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
